tremors

surely by now the whole of SG should have either known or have felt it.

me? i slept through the first one and it lasted like 45 secs supposedly. i only found out when dh smsed me his newsflash about the quake and that was when i woke up. sheesh, i'd have RIP in my own room since i'm such a heavy sleeper then again, i could have been too tired after last night badminton game and killing many living deads. practically KO-ed after one episode of HEROES and it was only 1+ am.

i felt the 2nd one coz by then i was awake and it lasted only like 10 secs. yeah, the familiar giddy feeling. only felt my body swayed and a bit wozzy. that's about it, nothing else and it went by really fast.

anyway, was watching CNA and the live interviews with people who experienced the tremor were quite hilarious. some examples:

newscaster interviewing XXX staying near the east area about more than 15 storeys in HDB flat.

newscaster: so XXX, what were your neighbours' reaction?
XXX: they were starting to go downstairs.
newscaster: yourself?
XXX: oh, i am staying put.
newscaster: you are not evacuating?
XXX: my mother is here with me, i have to make sure that everything is in place.

quite 'duh' right?

newscaster interviewing meteorological personnel/expert.

newscaster: it is said that earthquake changes the climate. how different will the climate be?
met personnel: the change in climate is influenced by many factors, we cannot just deduce the change because of the earthquake.

after many other questions later...

newscaster: so did you noticed anything that is different?
met personnel: you mean the weather?
newscaster: yes.
met personnel: like i said earlier, the change in climate is influenced by many factors, we cannot just deduce the change because of the earthquake.

if i didn't see wrongly, when the camera returned to the studio, wahhh..the face of the newscaster like damn black or perhaps she was just trying to put on a serious face?
