2 years apart...how do you handle that?

said i'd blog about 'Lake House'...well...here it is..

story's pretty simple...unique? perhaps not...apparently it was an US remake from a Korean movie with the same storyline that was a hit...

so...how do 2 people who fell in love with each other through mailbox messaging, but are actually 2 years apart from each other, ever gonna meet or will they ever meet?...that was the gist of the story...

scenery: beautiful glass house by the lake...totally glassed...no walls nothing...just glass...so everyone can see the inside of the house...however, it's so deserted, i guess, no one will ever go there except the two people who ever stayed there..i totally love the house...the most interesting thing is that there's a maple tree growing in the centre of the house...super cool...my favourite tree!

story: two lonely people. each leading their own lives. they basically only had a house in common. one moving out to lead a life as a doc in the busy city, the other moving in to lead a quiet life from his hectic work. they got to know each other through a freaky episode of receiving snail mail in their mailbox (snailmail is still very happening ok!!) and from there they wrote each other, guy did many sweet things for girl and they fell in love with each other and planned to meet, but the guy didn't turn up and the girl thought she was wasting her time and decided that they will never ever meet and decided that the relationship will never work coz guy was in a timezone 2 years before hers...but actually throughout their time of correspondence...they have actually met each other twice in their life..yet...girl couldn't remember...so the story developed...erm...i shant do any spoilers, but of coz there's a little bit of excitement towards the end...so..enjoy...

my thoughts: 2 years apart...and i don't mean age, i mean time in itself...how do you handle that? would you allow yourself to fall in love and then lose hope about it and go back to someone else who you think would more likely be there and just settle for him/her? I think that's what i'd do...

yet the movie presents another view, never lose hope. it might be hidden that you almost forget its existence, but remain hopeful coz one day...just one day...something you do might turn your hope to reality and you'd get what you want...guess there's something to learn here...i will remain hopeful..i will...i will...
